V-Guard Industries Pvt. Ltd., one of the leading electronics making company after the successful manufacture of smart water geyser, launched the first time India smart DUPS (inverter) in a city hotel today.
The smart DUPS launched today at the event had 9 new smart features that comes with it and hence is the first time in India. It allows you to manage various things related to the device by using your smart phone. In a country like India that is often marred with severe power cuts, so to have one reliable and stabled inverter is very necessary. But the need of such inverter often results the customers to invest in a bulk amount. After much research V-guard has finally launched a easy to access inverter through smart phone.
But the question lays how many people in India uses smart phone?
According to PEW research centre survey, only 17% of people in India uses smart phone and even a lesser percentage of people have inverter in their houses or for official purposes. So making a smart DUPS for only smart phone users is promoting mainly the people who are financially stable to buy and use a smart phone.
On this contrast the Director and COO of V-Guard, Mr. V. Ramachandran said at the conference, “Our challenge is that to rural or small town and villages don’t have the access to smart phone and electricity. This is fundamentally happening, our view is to educate them how smart phones can manage and help in certain context and I think we have potential to make the changes in rural areas too.”
The DUPS will be priced between 10,900 to 18,990 and will be available in leading electronic shops in south zone cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Andhra Pradesh. The dealership is expected to spread within September month of this year.
